The Cote d’Azur is packed with several hundred kilometres of GR (Grande Randonnée), PR (Promenade et petite randonnée) and coastal footpaths offering you a diversity of breathtaking sceneries. From family walks to more challenging hikes, you’re bound to find something to suit you near the campsite, on one of the many trails in the heart of the Maures massif or by the sea, whatever the season!

Seaside walks on the Cote d’Azur

Seaside walks are one of the unmissable gems of outdoor activities in the on the Cote d’Azur. Offering privileged access to coastal landscapes, a large part of the Cote d’Azur coastline, including the islands and the mainland, is accessible via the coastal footpaths. Many of these are former customs trails. As you follow the course of the water, you’ll have the chance to discover unspoilt nature and revel in the panoramic views, iodine scents and pine scents that surround you. From the campsite, don’t miss the hike that starts at Plage de la Favière and ends at Pointe de l’Esquillette, crossing several long sandy beaches and intimate coves with crystal-clear waters.

The Massif des Maures stretches between Hyères and Fréjus on the Cote d’Azur, passing through Bormes les Mimosas, and offers a range of varied trails, perfect for exploring its unspoilt landscapes and biological wealth. The trails in the Massif des Maures invite you to discover a wide variety of sites, from lush green hills to steep ridges, with breathtaking panoramic views of the sea and the heart of the forest. Hiking in the Maures massif means discovering a rich and abundant Mediterranean flora, such as cork oaks and arbutus. It’s also home to a wide variety of animals and insects, including turtles, lizards, birds and game. Set off on foot from the campsite, just a few metres away, and go deep into the dense forest and let yourself be guided by the signposted itineraries, which are accessible to all levels.

Created in 2005 on the beaches of northern France, this discipline has rapidly gained popularity as a new form of hiking, attracting many enthusiasts. The principle is simple: walk along the seashore in waist-high water. Precise technical movements provide structure and are ideal for keeping fit. Depending on the pace you choose, this water sports activity can vary from a simple leisure activity to a real sporting activity. However, it’s always gentle on your body, and can be enjoyed in all seasons!
