Beaches in the South of France

La Favière beach
The Favière beach is adjacent to the Camp du Domaine. At 680m long, it is the largest sandy beach in Bormes les Mimosas, ideal for families on holiday in the south of France. From the Camp du Domaine, you can relax in the sun, build sandcastles or practise your kite flying skills. The pure turquoise water is perfect for all your water sports activities, or simply to enjoy lunch on the terrace of one of the two beach restaurants.

Cabasson beach
The Plage de Cabasson is around 7km from the Camp du Domaine by road, or 3km up the hill (hiking only). It offers a breathtaking view of the Fort de Brégançon, the presidential residence in the south of France. Its north-westerly aspect makes it an ideal spot for water sports in windy conditions. Nestling in a wild setting of dunes and lush vegetation, Cabasson beach has managed to preserve its authenticity, offering an ideal, peaceful setting for a day out with family or friends in the south of France, even at the height of the season.
Pets are not allowed between 01.04 and 01.11, although they are tolerated in the evenings.
Pellegrin beach
Plage du Pellegrin is one of the most beautiful beaches in the south of France. With its 870m of fine sand, it is a beach with a wild and unspoilt character, rich in vegetation. Situated 10km from the Camp du Domaine, it is accessible by road towards La Londe via the Brégançon road (paying car park), or on foot by taking the coastal path from the Cabasson beach in Bormes les Mimosas or the Argentière beach in La Londe les Maures.

Estagnol beach
The Plage de l’Estagnol is no match for the Plage du Pellegrin. Nestling in a green setting, its fine sand and unspoilt lagoon will delight families on holiday in the South of France. Just 8km from Camp du Domaine, it can be reached by road in the direction of La Londe via the Brégançon road (fee-paying car park), or on foot along the coastal path from Cabasson beach in Bormes les Mimosas or Argentière beach in La Londe les Maures.

Saint Clair beach
The Plage de Saint Clair in Le Lavandou is also known as “La Perle”, because it’s such a great place to relax. It’s the ideal beach for all your favourite activities in the south of France: swimming, snorkelling, lounging, eating out, beach volleyball… Facing due east, it offers magnificent sunrises and a breathtaking view of the Golden Isles. Located 5km from Camp du Domaine, just behind the main beach at Le Lavandou, it can be reached by road in the direction of Saint Tropez in just 10 minutes, or on foot along the coastal path from the campsite beach.

Small coves
The south of France, and particularly the Cote d’Azur, is full of small coves and calanques, which are much less frequented than the better-known beaches. Often hidden away, they are the jewels in the crown of the Borméen and Lavandour basins. You can visit the Jean Blanc beach, also known as “l’écrin d’argent” (the silver jewel case) because of its white sand and exceptional setting, or the wild and unspoilt Elephant beach. Don’t hesitate to ask the tourist offices or the campsite reception for directions.
Naturist beaches
Whether you’re a naturist or just worried about tan lines on your body, there are several naturist beaches close to Camp du Domaine that are among the most beautiful in the south of France and the Mediterranean.Layet beach
The Layet beach is the perfect place to practise naturism in complete simplicity at Le Lavandou in the south of France. Also known as “Buccaneer Cove”, it’s a beautiful beach of fine sand in a discreet location. It is reached via a signposted path with a steep gradient. Head towards Saint-Tropez: the beach is around 6 kilometres from Le Lavandou town centre, before the main beach at Cavalière.
Rossignol Beach
The Rossignol beach is the perfect tribute to the song of the bird that gives it its name. On your way to this wild, hard-to-reach cove, you’ll be immersed in an intimate atmosphere where sunbathing rhymes with freedom. The Rossignol beach in the south of France, at Le Lavandou, is a veritable corner of paradise reserved exclusively for naturists.

The caves beach
Surrounded by creeks and located on the Levant Island, one of the three Golden Islands in the south of France opposite the campsite, naturism is compulsory on the caves beach (Plage des Grottes). Nestling in a superb little cove, delightfully shaded in places and protected by rocks covered in plants endemic to the south of France. Levant Island can be reached by boat from the port of Bormes les Mimosas or Le Lavandou, just a few minutes’ walk from the campsite.
Pampelonne beach
Pampelonne beach in Ramatuelle on the Saint Tropez peninsula is one of the most popular in the south of France. Divided into several sectors, including two dedicated to naturists, it’s the ideal place to spend a day on a lively beach in the heart of intrepid Saint Tropez. It’s about a 45-minute drive from the campsite to Pampelonne beach.
